Terms & Conditions and Release of Liability
Riders will be required to wear all the protective equipment that SGI requires. For new riders in the MGDL program, this includes:
- A helmet, either a 3-quarter, modular, or full-face helmet with any of the following certification's ANSI, BSI, CSA, DOT, Snell or ECE
- Gloves that cover the fingers
- Boots that cover the ankle
- Arm and leg coverings (a riding jacket is advised)
- Eye protection if a visor is not used (sunglasses that fit under the helmet are also recommend)
- We also request that riders dress weather appropriate
Additional information: All riding gear listed above and/or required by SGI must be worn at all times. the course/event will continue in most weather conditions. Be prepared for various weather conditions.
Damage to student-owned motorcycles/vehicles will not be covered by Miles Ahead Driver Ed and Motorcycle Training. If a student is in a collision with a rented motorcycle, he/she may be responsible for the $100 deductible.
Meals are not provided.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Requests for an alternate course date/cancellations received 16 or more days prior to original registered course start date will be subject to a $50 per person administration fee. Requests received within 15 days prior to the course start date will be subject to a $100 per person surcharge, providing accommodations can be made. If no accommodation can be made, for cancellations less than 16 days prior to course start date or for no-shows, there will be no refund. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel courses due to unforeseen circumstances.
New Rider Training, Tune-up Training, and Advanced Handling Training - Release of Liability
I (herein "participant" or "legal gradian of participant"), being of lawful age and voluntarily participating in Miles Ahead driver Ed. - Motorcycle Training (herein “Activity Provider”) hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:
I will participate in the following activity: Primary Motorcycle Training (New Rider Training, Tune-up Training, and Advanced Handling) consisting of classroom and on course instruction. I understand the training will include challenging and demanding riding drills where I, the Participant, will operate a motorcycle (either use of my own motorcycle or the use of one provided by the Activity Provider) under the supervision and instruction of the course instructors. I understand and agree that there is a risk of danger, bodily harm, injury, emotional stress, or death as a result of my participation. I also acknowledge that my participation in this activity may also have potential risks that are not limited to this list; and that there is the potential for risks and dangers that may not be obvious or reasonably foreseeable at this time.
I do not have any medical ailments, physical limitations, or mental disabilities that will affect my ability to participate in this activity.
Miles Ahead driver Ed., its instructors and its facility providers undertake no direct legal or financial responsibility for my personal safety or well being when I am participating in the Primary Motorcycle Training (New Rider Training, Tune-up Training, and Advanced Handling Training) and I assume the risks of participating in this activity.
I forever release Miles Ahead driver Ed. and all related participants including its facility providers from any and all claims and causes of action that I or my representatives now have or may have in the future for personal injury, property damage or wrongful death occurring to me, arising out of participation in this activity. I hereby release and forever discharge the Activity Provider, it’s spouse, heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives and assigns from all manner of actions, causes of actions, debts, accounts, bonds, contracts, claims and demands for and by reason of any injury to person or property, including injury resulting in my death, which has been or may be sustained as a consequence of my participation in the advanced motorcycle training, and notwithstanding that such damage, loss or injury may have been caused solely or partly by the negligence of the Activity Provider.
I am 100% liable for all medical expenses incurred as a result of any injury or property damage during my participation in this activity.
If I am using/supplying my own motorcycle for training, I am responsible for any and all damages to my motorcycle or other equipment that may be incurred by myself or by others.
This is a legally binding contract but it is not meant to pronounce any claims or defences that are legally prohibited. In the event that any one or more of the provisions of this agreement shall be held to be invalid, illegal, unenforceable or in conflict with the law according to the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan, the remaining portions will not be invalidated, and shall remain in full force and effect.
I attest that I have read and understand this agreement and agree to all the provisions listed above. I am freely and voluntarily executing the same and that by signing this Agreement, I agree to be forever prevented from suing or otherwise claiming against the Activity Provider for any property loss or personal injury that I may sustain while participating in or preparing for the above noted activity.
Advanced Police/Civilian Motorcycle Training I & II - Release of Liability
I (herein "participant" or "legal gradian of participant"), being of lawful age and voluntarily participating in Miles Ahead driver Ed. - Advanced Motorcycle Training (herein “Activity Provider”) hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:
I will participate in the following activity: Advanced Motorcycle Training consisting of classroom and intense on course instruction.
